I started composing the song in 1997 as I crossed the Sahara from the North-West to the South-West in the car of Yannick Roffet (a nice and optimistic guy from my native Brittany, whom I had known on the way).
After few years, that Sahara's song, "Mozart", was 30 minutes long. I then reduced the size of the loops and I cut it in 2 parts: "Mozart" became "the elephants of love" and "the charge of the elephants of love". I remember there has been only one concert of "Mozart": for a 4th grade class (primary) at Sutton Park school (Dublin13) in 2002. At the time, I was a substitute teacher (teaching mostly French and German), and was encouraged to bring my guitar in, which I didn't do much. But that day, I was replacing the music teacher... At the time, there were no lyrics on it, just a few melodic lines for the singing. I adjusted the last lyrics sentences after the whole music was recorded, in Krakow.

lyrics
The elephants of love are coming Sir !
They are knocking on your door Madam !
Son, daughter, will you let them in?
Here we go… (sound track: opening gate doors)
…Please welcome the elephants of love !
Our world became a game with too many playing pieces, don’t cry, you are the hero, saying
it’s time to share ! Together with the elephants of love, we are, welcoming and feeling welcome everywhere !
One day like the elephants of love, you find your heart, feel at ease and confident to take over the show,
Remembering the story of the elephants of love, our granny told us, finally finding the way for better days
Let’s watch together who we are, that isolated accident destroying its own small planet everyday.
And you know that hero, coming in and saving your life, your mirror will show him/her to you, look deeper into your own eyes, my friend !
Well, if you see nothing, if the light is dirt, if the trust is dead and all the doors are closed, just keep in your heart the story of the elephants of love !
